Keeping this in mind, it was discussed in the ICC meeting in Dubai that if India plays the Asia Cup match at a neutral venue, then Pakistan can also play the World Cup match in another country. That country can be Bangladesh. However, a final decision has yet to be made in this regard. The whole matter is under discussion.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has undergone significant changes ahead of the New Zealand series. Najam Sethi has been made the new board chief replacing Ramiz Raja. On Saturday, Najam Sethi returned Mohammad Wasim and appointed Shahid Afridi as the chief selector. Afridi’s two former cricketers Abdul Razzaq and Rao Iftikhar Anjum have been included in the selection panel.

It is to be noted that the first Test will start in Karachi on December 25. The second Test was scheduled to be held in Multan, but due to adverse weather conditions there, the venue has been changed to Karachi. The match will start on January 2.
