Sylhet Strikers need 90 runs to win against Chittagong Challengers

Chattogram Challengers and Sylhet Strikers faced each other in the opening match of the ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Chittagong’s disaster started with the runout of opener Mehedi Maruf (11) for 11 runs.

After that, Darwis Rasooli was caught by Mushfiqur Rahim, Sylhet’s Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir, Chittagong captain Shuvagata Hom and Usman Khan were sent to the dressing room by Rezaur Rahman Raja, losing 5 wickets for 45 runs.

On the basis of Afif Hossain’s 25 runs off 23 balls, The Challengers were able to score 89 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Sylhet pacer Rezaur Rahman Raja took 4 wickets for just 14 runs in 4 overs, Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir was also excellent, he gave only 7 runs in 4 overs, took two wickets, Sylhet captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza got one wicket for 18 runs.
