Sabbir Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin were hoping to play this year’s T20 World Cup in Australia. But their poor performance in the tri-series in New Zealand left their hopes unfulfilled.

Everyone knows the information about these two stars being dropped from the World Cup team. Now it is known that they returned to the country without boarding the Australian plane.

Sabbir and Saifuddin arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:45 pm on Saturday. Sabbir Rahman returned to the national team after three long years. But he destroyed all the hopes and plans of the selectors. The right-handed batsman could not get out of the circle of failure despite getting the opportunity.

Meanwhile, pace bowling all-rounder Saifuddin, who was out of the team for a long time due to a back injury, also got a chance this time. But this all-rounder of Feni did not return. He was quite a scratch bowler in the New Zealand series. As a result, Saifuddin was dropped just before the World Cup. The team management added Soumya Sarkar and Shariful Islam, who were in reserve, to the main team instead of Sabbir and Saif.

The Tigers will play against Afghanistan and South Africa respectively on October 17 and 19 in two warm-up matches before the start of the World Cup. After this, Shakib Al Hasan’s team will play their first match in the World Cup on October 24.
