England team is on their way to a record win against India

The feat of chasing more targets has happened only eight times in the history of 150 years of Tests and 2,470 matches, not once in the history of English people. England is on the way to that record.

That’s what England replaced by Ben Stokes with fluent batting. One of the best bowling line-ups in the world collapsed and scored 259 runs in 57 overs on the fourth day. The team is just 119 runs away from a record win.

And India’s batsmen did everything possible for this win. India has thrown a huge challenge of 378 runs to England. It is difficult to reach this target by batting in the fourth innings. But England’s top order almost made the difficult task easier. Batting in an ODI mood, they ended the fourth day’s play with the hope of winning.

Hosts England need 119 runs to win the fifth Test. And after 2007, India will have to take 7 wickets to win the Test series on English soil. India leads the series, which has been pending for almost a year, 2-1. The way the hosts started batting in an ODI mood to save the series, it looked like they would win on the fourth day.

India’s first innings in the Edgbaston Test ended at 416 runs. In reply, the English bowled out for 284. India scored 245 runs in the second innings.
