England cricket team in Dhaka

England cricket team reached Dhaka to play three ODI and three T20I matches. The English cricketers arrived at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:20 am on Friday (February 24). They were welcomed by BCB. Later, the cricketers were divided into two teams and left for the hotel on the team bus.

England’s bilateral series against Bangladesh will begin with the first ODI at Mirpur Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium on March 1. Besides, there will be two ODI matches on March 3 and 6. After that, the bilateral series will end by playing three T20 matches on March 9, 12, and 14. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the team on February 2 given this series against Bangladesh. Rehan Ahmed has been called up for the first time in the white ball cricket team.

Jos Buttler will lead the English team in this series. The team includes experienced Moeen Ali along with David Malan, Adil Rashid Mark Wood, and many others. Apart from this, pacer Jofra Archer is also in the squad of the two editions. On this side, the young cricketer Tauhid Hriday has been called up to the Bangladesh team for the first time. There are all familiar faces in the Bangladesh team for the ODI series against England. Liton, Shakib, Mahmudullah, Afif, Taskin, and Ebadat are also on the team. However, Yasir Ali, Nasum Ahmed, Enamul Haque Vijay, Nurul Hasan Sohan and Shariful Islam who played in the India series have been dropped.
