BCB plans to hold the World Cup camp in the country

A psychologist will join the Bangladesh cricket team ahead of the World Cup. BCB will finalize the appointment before the home series against Afghanistan. Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus said. The board is also considering appointing a mentor to the Tiger squad at the mega event. For now, BCB is planning to hold the World Cup camp in the country instead of in India due to its busy schedule.
The World Cup is less than 6 months away. BCB is already making mega plans ahead of the mega event. India is the host of the World Cup. So the cricket board had planned to camp there. But where the organizers could not finalize the schedule of the World Cup, it is difficult to allocate a camp venue for Bangladesh. So BCB has withdrawn from the camp plan to go to India.

Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus said, ‘Camping in India is very difficult. As a result, our camp will be in Bangladesh. After the Afghanistan series till the end of September, we have a big time on our hands. We want to make full use of that time. The camp we will do then will be the World Cup camp.’ Ahead of the World Cup, many teams keep legendary cricketers with them as mentors. Although it is not common in Bangladesh teams. But BCB can break that rule in this World Cup. However, the appointment of a psychologist has been finalized.

Jalal Yunus said, ‘We all have to sit together and decide whether we need a mentor. Earlier we had a plan, we can bring any former Indian cricketer. But now it is not happening. As a result, a mentor will join our team after the Ireland series.’
BCCI wanted Taskin out of IPL after the player draft. But BCB did not leave the current country’s best pacer. At the request of the board, Shakib-Litton also decided to finish the duty of the national team and go to IPL. All these three have been financially rewarded by the cricket board.
