A few days ago, it seemed that Pakistan was turning around under PCB chief Ramiz Raja. But everything has changed in the last month. Ramiz Raja lost responsibility. He was replaced by Nazam Shetty. Not only the responsibility of the board chief, but other posts including the chief selector have also changed. Meanwhile, Cricket Pakistan reports that the PCB is considering putting Babar at the helm of one format.

And the reason for that is the failure in the Test series against New Zealand, England, and Australia at home. A few days ago the news spread that Pakistan will keep three captains in three formats. Only time will tell whether Nazam Shetty’s board will ultimately follow that path or not.

However, there are rumors that Shan Masood may be brought in to lead Tests and ODIs. PCB may have hinted at that by making him vice-captain recently. If this is the case, Babar may only lead the T20. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan was removed from the Test team in the last series as the interim chief selector. However, Sarfraz has made a great comeback after almost three years in his place as chief selector.
